I have always been intrigued by this phrase. It makes it seem as if all the people who come into our lives are positive if they leave foot prints. What about those that trample your heart to death? I think there have been more of those in recent times. If I could have evicted them before they left footprints, I would have! And then there is the dog! He has trampled all my flowers, herb garden and terrorized the squirrels into psychotic frenzies. It's been interesting. I wonder when the squirrels will take up arms against him??
Here is another card to use up scraps. A red base card is covered on the bottom half with a printed piece. Layer a piece of card stock (rough up the edges) and add a scrap of print paper on top of it. Add this over the seam of the printed piece. Print or stamp out your phrase or quote and add this to another scrap that is torn to fit. Pop dot this to the lower right area.
Punch a large circle, punch a flower to top it and punch a primitive heart and pop dot it to the center. Add to the upper left. To add a little sparkle, I used several crystals on the top. I suppose small buttons or brads would work too. I almost did a little cross stitch on each corner for a countrified look. Play. Whatever works.
A lovely card Jan...great DP! I hear ya on your feelings about the trampling!
ReplyDeleteJan, I love the simplicity of this card. Sometimes we get too carried away with thinking flashy, but you have carried this off so well. Thanks.
