So I said the other day I was gonna enter a card in a contest. Well, I lied. I decided on this one instead. It's an A2 size and I just like it better. I used the same papers and same ribbon and even the same sheet of rub ons.
A white base card was edged in lipstick distress ink and layered with print paper that was also edged. I used a slab of red textured Bazzill and added my rub on of the bee. I then roughed up the edge of it with my handy dandy razor thingie. Before pop dotting it at an angle, I ran a piece of ribbon near the top and fake tied a bow on the right side. Then the bee was added. Die cutting a few hearts and inking the edges of them, they were popped in layers on the right over lapping a bit of the red. A small piece of white was layered with a piece of red and also inked the edges then added the rub on "Bee Mine" and popped it over the bottom of the heart trio.
I mailed it in and now find out I may have violated the rules. I didn't know that everything I used had to be purchased at the store where the contest is taking place. I got the rules after the fact. I bought the ribbon and card stock there but not the rub on (dollar store) and the print paper was a scrap. So I may be getting my card back. Guess I should have asked for the rules before I made the card up and sent it. Sa la vie!
Well, isn't that just the cutest little bee!!!
