Never Say Never-I Have Blog Candy.

Scroll down for any new blog entries. This will stay at the top until the blog candy is awarded.

ETA--- Here is a capture from Art Impressions site of the stamp set. These are normally about $22 a set. It was gloomy and wet outside today, so I didn't get a photo. Curious I am.....

ETA-this is an idea of what the stamped image will look like when you use the above stamp set. I don't understand why so few are interested in this blog candy. Kinda sad, ya think?

I said I would never do this again, but something came up and someone was very nice to me, so I am paying it forward. Earlier this month I ordered a set of cling mounted stamps from Art Impressions. I have other stamps from them in the watercolor style and it's lots of fun to create this way. When I saw the listing for new styles, I was elated. Now the stamps are done on cling foam, which I like even better. PLUS-it was FREE shipping month! Triple score! I ordered a set and forgot about them. Then an envie showed up. Happy mail!!

I opened it and grinned, then frowned. I had two of the same set. I contacted the people at Art Impressions and they said "My bad". We will send out the one you are missing and you can keep the extra copy for yourself or give to a friend. I knew immediately I would share with my fellow bloggers. Even with my misgivings about blog candy, I hope to send some new business to Art Impressions . There are How To's, and a gallery on the site. You can also pick up a video DVD of ideas and watercolor basics using stamps.

Now I am not gonna make this easy for you. To enter this contest, you must include a link to the one rubber stamp (an online image or card you or someone else has made-you don't have to make anything special just for this contest-I just like to see what others like) you would own if you could only own one stamp ever (one stamp -Not a set) and guess what, it can't be Stampin' Up because there is more to the stamp world than SU!). I want to see some images I might LUST after! ETA-must have pissed off the masses by saying NO SU. Oh well, your loss.

The blog candy will run thru August 2nd. That is the day the local stamp convention ends and guess what I have a ticket for? One entry per person please and along with the stamp set-I am including some beautiful May Art ribbon, a set or two of blank cards for you to stamp on and maybe baby, a few other goodies. I will post a photo when the sun actually comes out.

Pass this on, the more the merrier. All are invited to join in the fun, so don't despair if you are outside the realm. Feel free to join in.

  1. This was EASY for me, Jan! I still had trouble locating a picture of it, however ... 'cuz it's the stamp that I use on the BACK of 90% of the cards I stamp - my "signature," if you will! See my post here - http://sueblondin.blogspot.com/2009/07/one-of-my-first-stamps.html

  2. Hey chiquita! Cool looking stamps...Paula and I could have some fun with these!

One stamp, huh? You're killing me! Okay, I pick this one: http://stampinwhenican.blogspot.com/2009/03/wsc72-and-ave-shot.html

I have always love the poppies and I have had nothing but luck when I have used it. You're really killing me though...there is no way I could live with just one!

  5. I totally agree with your statement about their being WAY more stamps out there! Of course, I used to be a CTMH consultant, so I'm a bit biased! LOL! But...I am linking you to a Hero Arts stamp that I absolutely ADORE! I don't own it yet, but I am quite sure that it would be my absolute favorite if I did! https://shop.heroarts.com/product/part_number=S5208/1571.0

  7. Ok this was very tough to narrow down my vast collection to just one favorite, lol. But I must say that I can't live without this adorable stamp from Sugar Nellie http://playingisapassion.blogspot.com/2009/06/challenge-13-lilians-sketch.html

Don't worry, you didn't scare me off with the SU comment. I actually never even use their stamps anymore! There is soooo much more out there and I love trying new things :)

Thanks for the opportunity to enter! I am from Canada though, so if you don't want to ship internationally it's ok if you need to remove my entry.

    Happy Stamping :)

  8. Hey Jan,

I just can't narrow it down to one..so I'm out of the race, but had to tell you about these images i'm lusting after..no doubt these are hard to color, hard to place in a card but man are they ethereal (does that term apply to stamps?)

I got one stamp as a really surprise gift from a fellow blogger and been hooked on these images..I know I can't buy them right now (with all the recession and everything) but if I could I would buy most of these..here's the link ..

  12. Thought I'd comment on this despite contest wrapped up. Too bad that I didn't see this earlier (haven't had time to check blogs in quite awhile) because I love Art Impressions stamps. I got a chance to take a workshop from them when I lived in Oregon; it was so cool, and I went home with a lot of their watercolor stamps. In reference to your lack of comments, I can relate when I posted a card using AI stamps on SCS...I thought it was a beautiful card...it generated very few views, let alone any comments (maybe 1). I think folks sometimes go for the most popular products of the day. As you mentioned, their loss.
